Dream Weaver Backpack Class with Leandra Martin
Join Leandra Martin for an immersive three-day, intermediate-level class where you’ll build a beautifully constructed Dream Weaver Backpack while refining essential leatherworking techniques.
Throughout this class, we will focus on clean construction and practical, repeatable techniques, including:
- Installing two styles of zippered pockets
- Installing a zippered top closure
- Creating a well-fitted fabric liner (no baggy liners)
- Constructing a flap with magnetic closure
- Achieving clean construction with fully finished edges
- Operating and sewing with industrial sewing machines
- Note: Decorative stitching will not be covered in this class
By the end of the class, you will leave with a completed backpack, a full pattern, and the knowledge and confidence to recreate the design on your own.
Materials:
All materials are included in the cost of the class. Each student will receive Pines Milled Leather from Weaver Leather Supply for their project. Students may choose between two color options: Evergreen or Timber.

Additional materials provided include:
- Dark brown trim (strap connectors, zipper windows, straps, and YKK zipper tape)
- Brass hardware
- Neutral solid fabric for lining

A minimum of six students is required for the class to be held. If the class does not meet the minimum enrollment, a full refund will be issued by check to avoid processing fees.
